As you can tell I’ve been on quite a Chicago skyline kick lately, haven’t I? I find this the most architecturally diverse city I have ever encountered. This time we are seeing the John Hancock Building from a much more competitive perspective; that is, a higher one. Instead of looking up we are looking out and over to see this giant yet again prominently standing in our view. This photo was taken from the Willis Tower on the SkyDeck floor.
And of course you can see Lake Michigan in the background blending in with the sky as it so often seems to do.
Enjoy the view, everyone!

City art. Beautiful.
Thank you, Cher, that really puts life in perspective.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Big hugs, Donna xo
Thank YOU, Donna! I really like that: “City art”. What a wonderful description. And to you as well my dear! Hope to see you on twitter this weekend! Big hugs, Cher xo
It’s like the city mayors all decided on JUST skyscrapers!
I hear ya, Andy! But this city is so huge there are more areas without skyscrapers than with! I do love the skyscraper areas!! Your city has a lot, too!! *clink* Cher xo
Ya, Vancouver is interesting, lower density residential areas on the far right and then all denser areas squeezed to the other lol
*LOL* Really? Sounds like a tube of toothpaste after you squeeze it! ;-P Cher xo
Vancouver! really whitens your teeth! 😛
That gets a double *clink* Hahaha! Cher xo
😄😄😄
Fantastic view, Cher. Love it. The Chicago skyline is amazing, especially from this view. What a photographic capture you have accomplished. Great!!
Ah, thank you so much, Carol! I must admit it was quite intimidating looking down on ALL those HUGE buildings!! Interesting how the sky and lake blend together. This lake, I swear, is so blue! Cher xo
I thought John was the tallest. The round building to John’s right is unique. Great photo Cher!
Actually the Willis Tower (Sears; *LOL*) is the tallest in Chicago. That is exactly what I thought about the round building to John’s right, too! Hehehehe I should know what that is; I’ll find out and let you know! Thanks, John!! Cher xo
