Chicago Sunrise, Lake Michigan: Splendor & Glory

Wow! That pretty much sums it up, don’t you think?  I actually gasped when I opened the curtains this morning to see this stunning sky artwork in front of me.

I once asked Meteorologist Chris Murphy from Canada’s The Weather Network” if there was anything that surprised him about the weather. He told me he was surprised how quickly weather can change.  I can certainly relate to that this morning.  The beautiful wash of pink hues literally lasted a few minutes.  Now, thirty minutes later, the sky and ;Lake Michigan are grey.

I’m glad I had my camera ready this morning!  Thank you to the sky painter for another stunning ‘photo op!’

I hope you have a glorious day!

So glad you caught that gem of a sky before it changed, Cher – what a beaut! We may have to put that #CherYourWeather special on TV 🙂

These deep reds are a thrill to witness especially when unexpected.
Oddly enough this was the color of our sunset last night.
    Beautiful! A wonderful share!

Really a beautiful view in the morning, Cher 😀
I’m also concerned about the weather changes. I have only been in Spain for 7 years and I can see changes for each year, all are getting more warm and dry.
