It’s Valentine’s Day and across the globe people either love (pun intended!) this day or utterly loathe it. I don’t think Valentine’s Day has to be thought of in only romantic terms. I think today is a great reminder for all of us to show love and kindness whenever and wherever we can. I love animals, and doggies are my favorite. I feel so much happiness and love whenever I am around them.
I guess what I am trying to say is that although Valentine’s Day has always been associated with loving someone else in a relationship kind of way, there are so many other kinds of love. Why not also add loving yourself for starters? How about the gratitude you feel for hobbies you love, places you absolutely love to visit, and the kindness you have given others and have had returned.
It lightens our mood and brightens our soul when we can remind ourselves of the love in everyday things that we have in our midst at this very moment.
So here’s to Valentine’s Day in celebration of anything, anyone, and everything that truly makes your heart sing!

I have never been celebrating this day, it is still in the beginning years in Europe.
I prefer to show love more often, than only few commercial days in the year.

I would love people to boycott Valentine’s gifts so that businesses would stop the social pressure. All about materialism… Love each other and yourself 365 😀 I would add a row of hearts here but I have no emoji keyboard set up!
