Millenium Park’s Fall Foliage

I wanted to show you a photo I recently took at Millenium Park in downtown Chicago.  This is a lovely walkway that takes you directly to the Art Institute of Chicago.  I was hoping to get a photo with only scenery as opposed to people walking by.  I waited as patiently as I could, but the walkers kept on walking! Alas, I decided to include these two gentleman in the photo once they were at the other end of the path!

I’ve been amazed at how long it has taken the leaves to turn colors this year.  Believe it or not, we still have many trees whose leaves have not yet ‘taken the plunge’, as it were.

One of my favorite things about Fall is the crunching sound the leaves make when I walk through them.  There’s just something comforting about that sound for some reason.

I hope you have a lovely Tuesday filled with comforting moments!

Beautiful autumn, as you have Cher 🙂
We go almost directly from summer to winter here, where I live in Spain.

We can get up to 18-20 degrees C. in the afternoon now, a little less in the winter and down to around 0 degrees C. in the winter. This time demands warm clothe here too. Only in midday, if we are lucky, we have a warm sunshine. Just we stay in the sun, it is nice. In the shadow, it is very cold.
How are your temperatures in the winter?

Oh I hadn’t any idea that the temperature would get that low, Irene. Are temperatures hover between zero to minus 5. It’s much ‘warmer’ here in Chicago than the place in Canada I moved from! Now that is the ‘Great White North’! *LOL* Cher xo
