Chicago’s Millenium Park: Slide Ride, Anyone?

I really love Millenium Park in downtown Chicago.  It seems like such juxtaposition to have tall skyscrapers looming in the background at the same time that a slide appears directly in front of me!  This area of Chicago has a series of walkways, foliage, park areas with many kid-friendly structures to climb on, when all the while the tall buildings on Michigan Avenue appear to be standing guard, it you will.

The view you are seeing faces west; if I were to turn around and face east I would be looking at Lake Michigan.  Enveloped in downtown Chicago are so many different man-made and natural views.

As I write this on Saturday morning the rain is blurring my view of Lake Michigan; there definitely isn’t much juxtaposition going on at the moment!  I hope your Saturday is filled with lots of interesting points to ponder!

Thanks! So kind! I’ve got some Hoover Dam photos going up today. All sun, no clouds today after the last windstorm. Only 47 degrees!

I wear shorts year round Cher, I’ll be in Michigan for the family Christmas early December. I’ll slide on some full length pants for that trip. Was chilly today, in the 50’s. Just 65 in my apartment and I’m cold! Wearing my cap and light jacket. 😬

Once you get back to Michigan you’ll find Nevada really hot when you get back, no doubt, John! Cher xo

Funny, I was just thinking about that trip when I read your comment Cher. Supposedly 39 somewhere around here tonight but recovers nicely to 65 tomorrow. 80 for midweek next week. Sorry, I’m a weather nut…
