Saturday Serenity: Butterfly Lunch Station

While walking in my neighborhood yesterday I spotted this sweet butterfly sitting on some gorgeous pink flowers.  But the butterfly didn’t stay sitting for long.

I watched as this creature literally flew from flower to flower, flapping its wings at such a rate of speed that I wondered how it hung onto the petals!

I must have taken at least a dozen photos and this is the only one that didn’t have the blurred motion of its wings front and center.

Grinning while I took this shot, I noticed it was lunchtime (by my watch). Having a cornucopia of lunch selections at its disposal, the butterfly wasted no time in sampling the ‘lunch station’s’ offerings.

Not only did the butterfly become fully fed, but I had such a nice time watching this gorgeous creature fly all over these flowers with not a care in the world.

I hope you are having a lovely Saturday in such butterfly fashion!
