In honor of Earth Day, but with a cheeky twist, I wanted to show you a few photos I took recently of a Robin. Now, when most of us think of Robins we think Spring, sweet, lovely little birds who remind us of renewal, buds on trees, and warmer temperatures.
Well, at first I noticed this cute little guy just hanging out on the grass, no doubt waiting for an unsuspecting worm to rear its ugly head (literally and figuratively in my books!).
Ah, bless! Look at the dear little Robin! But wait! There seems to be a little something ‘extra’ with the creatures in my neighborhood here in Chicago. Do you recall seeing some of the squirrel photos I’ve posted where they partake in an ‘old-style Chicago’ manner a.k.a. the ‘stare-down’?
Sadly, the innocent looking Robin reminded me of two things: This is his ‘hood’, and I’m in Chicago where the birds don’t mince worms; I mean, “words”, birds don’t mince…..ah, you get the picture:
Here’s to a Happy Earth Day in your part of the planet!!
Very beautiful photos Cher and I hope, that you had a good Earth Day 🙂

Why thank you, Irene! I was afraid they weren’t as clear as I’d like them to be. When that Robin turned its head and stared right at me I thought, wow, squirrels, Robins, next it will be bunnies! *LOL* Thank you, I sure did; I hope you did too, Irene! Cher xo
