Lake Michigan: Beach Walkway, Always Inclusive!

I love this walkway! It jets out so you can actually walk behind the little tower.  Someone painted a rainbow in front of the tower; to me, that shows inclusiveness and acceptance for everyone.  The usual blue water of Lake Michigan was substituted that day with brown and grey tones.  I guess Mother Nature was making a splashy statement!

Great photo Cher! Wave action took away that beautiful blue didn’t it. It must be very shallow in that area.

Thank you, John! Oh yes, it most certainly did! Yes, it is very shallow in that area. The photo is a bit deceiving. To the left of the walkway is a beach area which is very shallow. To the right is a bit deeper, but not by much. 🙂 Cher xo

I was just looking at some depth charts for the lake, average depth is about 279 foot, not deep. Deepest point is about 925 foot at the north end.

Thank you for looking that up, John. There is an area not too far away from this walkway that I can say for sure is 4’3″. I know this because I am 5’3″ and I stood up and touched the bottom with about a foot to spare! 😉

Lovely shot, Cher. Love how somebody painted that rainbow at the end of the walk. It really draws the eye in.
