Wednesday’s Sunrise – Hovering Halo

Lake Michigan March 18 2015

– There appears to be a ‘halo’ over this morning’s sleepy sun, don’t you think? A lovely symbol to start your Wednesday.

Have a wonderful day; the sun, ‘has your back’!Β  *grin*

I’m always “mesmerized” by the colors of sunrises and sunsets. A good photo!

Cher, doesn’t it seem like the sunrises and sunsets the last few days have been much oranger than usual? Two days ago, and I didn’t notice it in time to get a photo, the sunset was this glowing deep orange. It was incredible!

Mike, that is exactly what I have been thinking, too! In fact, looking back at some of my more recent sunrise photos (and comparing them to even a month ago) they are much more orange in color). Oh, that sunset must have been amazing, Mike! Cher xo

Wow – beautiful picture! Apparently the aurora borealis has been appearing really clearly over the last day or two – do you ever get sight of that as far south as Chicago? Bet you get a good view of it up in Canada!

Hi Veronica! Ah, thank you so much for your kind words. No, you wouldn’t see the aurora borealis in this area; mind you, we have the city lights to contend with. I wonder if in other outlying areas? In terms of Canada, they are seen in the western provinces and in northern Canada. I’ve only seen them once; wow, dancing across the sky in brilliant shades of green! Lovely! Cher xo

As stunning as that shot of the sunrise is, I’ve noticed that my camera never captures the amazing images I see with my eyes. If we could turn our eyes into cameras, would those photos be the same?

Hi Lloyd! An interesting preponderance indeed. I vote, “no”; the images would be much different, with perhaps a sense of the feeling experienced at the moment of capture. Maybe a proprietary patent is needed on your idea, Lloyd? Cher xo

True, photos don’t come with the sense of the feeling experience, Imagine if we could add that experience to photos. Maybe Apple will come up with the technology where we experience the feelings that come with the shared photos.

Wouldn’t that be incredible, Lloyd? In every sense of the word, we could then say, “I see what you mean.” Cher xo
