Happy Valentine’s Day!!

valentinebook

This is Valentine’s Day.  I know there are a million or more thoughts about this day.  Some love the ‘love day’; some loathe it, and the rest don’t care.  I want to say that love comes in so many forms, types, and ideas.  One common factor is the same:  the feelings.  Whomever or whatever you love, your dear soul feels it in the same way.  I love animals, and no truer words were spoken that the same love we have for a person is the same love we have for our furry and feathered creatures, bless them.

I know some of you have partners and some do not.  Please remember this:  to give love into the world and truly, and I mean truly do this every day, is a priceless gift that you give yourself.  It does come back to you in all kinds of ways.  Herein lies the catch:  you must be aware of it.  It doesn’t have to be romantic love; it can be the love of books, the love of a sunset, the love of helping others.  If we can spend our energy to focus on that which is right in front of us, the feelings that the Universe has for us in a multitude of forms will show up.  In fact, it already has.  You simply have to embrace it.

Now that I have dowsed you with some of my love lessons, I would LOVE to provide you with a little slice of Valentine’s Day from the deep dish world:

Ah, the Chicago deep dish pizza avec heart!

Happy Valentine’s Day, from my the bottom of my pizza heart to yours! xoxo

Thank you for sharing your wise and loving heart with us here in this amazing post Cher! I especially appreciate how you’ve made a post for us all – married, single, love ‘the love day’ or loathe it. Today I also took care to share an inclusive post for I have a special place in my heart for those who are single but would like NOT to be… this day can generate loneliness. But it doesn’t have to, as you so beautifully remind us here. This is especially awesome: “It doesn’t have to be romantic love; it can be the love of books, the love of a sunset, the love of helping others.” Well done! Oh and I’ll be right over for some of that pizza with you! (I wish)
Big hugs of loving friendship to you on this day of Love, and always, xo Gina

Cher, Happy Valentine wishes to you and yours. Speaking about Chicago’s deep dish pizza, I’m reminded of when I used to live in a condo complex in the next county south of where I am now in South Florida. There was a couple there who had moved from Chicago. A lovely couple and my husband and I would spend some very pleasant time with them, playing cards, and going out to eat – PIZZA! Of course, the pizza we ate was as close as the restaurant could get it to mimicking the pizza from BROOKLYN, which, in my opinion, was the BEST! And the couple would always say, “Oh, it isn’t as good as our deep dish pizza from Chicago!” We would tease each other about our “favorite” pizzas. Since my husband was from New Jersey, he would always say that the pizza from New Jersey was best! So, we had a three-way meeting of the minds, you might say. It was fun. Nice memories to think of on this day celebrating LOVE. Carol 🙂

I absolutely love your description! Isn’t that funny, because that is the way Chicagoans really are when it comes to pizza! I must say though, that as a Canadian living in Chicago, I honestly find the pizza the BEST I have had anywhere. It is magnificent! I do understand that those on the East Coast really have an entirely different perspective on the subject! *LOL* Awh, thanks, Carol! I think it is so important for all of us to realize that love in and of itself is really the same no matter who or what we choose to focus our love towards. With big hugs my dear, Cher xo
