Hi John! Isn’t it something? They still collect mail from it too! Do you see the ‘chute’ above the letter box? I am not sure if it still works or not. I agree, Holly. I remember back in Canada when large post offices were replaced by smaller counters at the back of pharmacies. I was thrilled to go into a large, ‘old-fashioned’ post office when I moved to the U.S. However, I agree with you that so many things are being deleted from the landscape. We have some gold-coloured pillar boxes scattered around the UK, Cher. They were placed in the areas where our gold medalist from the 2012 London Olympic Games lived. If I ever see one, I’ll take a photo of one for you.
