Monday Treasures: Dolphin Flowers, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Good “Monday, Monday,” everyone!

I was searching through the ‘ol photo vault this morning when I stumbled upon this little gem.

This is a photo of a sweet little pond located in the English Gardens at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I must have taken this photo eons ago!

I love dolphins, so I couldn’t resist taking a snap of these lovely flowers shaped like dolphins.

Once in a while someone asks me about my social media username, “seaangel4444.” Here’s why I chose this name.

According to folklore, dolphins on occasion have rescued humans who are lost at sea. That’s how they were given the moniker, ‘seaangel,’ or ‘angels of the sea.’

Whether dolphins have ever literally rescued a human doesn’t matter to me; however, it certainly makes me smile thinking about the possibility!

I also love angels, and the number ’44’ has always shown up daily for me since I can’t even remember!

Anyway, putting all of that together, that’s how I came up with my social media username.

So here’s to some lovely flower dolphins that I ‘spotted’ so long ago, and wanted to share with you to add a bit of fun to the start of the week!

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

These are so cute, if not very English lol I’d wondered where your user name had come from. I saw a video of a dolphin putting himself in between a diver and a shark! He kept the diver under his fin until the shark passed by. xx

Oh Chrissie, you made me laugh! LOL I know what you mean! The rest of the gardens might be a tad bit more ‘English!’ Did you? Now that’s the kind of situation I’m referring to! Thanks so much for mentioning it!! Hope all is well ‘across the pond’ my dear! Cher xo
