The weather here in Chicago has been abysmal to say the least.Β I can’t recall a more humid, rainy, and foggy summer since I moved here years ago.
I thought it would be a great way to start the week by posting a photo of a flower I saw in Seal Beach, California a couple of months ago.
I’m not sure what type of flower this is, but it certainly reminds me of sunshine, summer, perfect weather, and that great California vibe!
I hope you are having a sunny start to the week!
Sorry about all the humidity and rain Cher, that’s not comfortable weather yet better than being freezing cold right?

Hi Ronnie! I know it is a hibiscus, but not sure what ‘type. Dr. Rex (Horty) just posted in the comments that it is the official flower of Puerto Rico which I didn’t know! They are beautiful flowers, aren’t they? Thank you Ronnie and it is great to see you! Cher xo

I enjoy seeing hibiscus as I walk around the neighborhood, I especially like the yellow and orange onesβ¦ we are in the middle of June Gloomβ¦ used to be common to have gloomy mornings this time of year but you always knew the sun would appear late morningβ¦ but nowadays the gloom can last all dayβ¦ bleahhhβ¦

You must see a lot of hibiscus! But I’m sorry you are in the middle of June Gloom! I didn’t know that about your area; I thought it was sunny for a good part of the day! Cher xo
