Spring has finally arrived here in Chicago! For you, what does Spring mean? Is it the melting of snow, budding trees, lighter jackets?
For me, the first sign of Spring is seeing a Robin. Well, not just ‘any’ Robin.
I know it is Spring when the ‘tough-guy’ Robins of Chicago proceed to greet me with the illustrious stare-down as was the case in the above picture.
I think I ‘won’ that round, Robin! As you can see, he took on a more ‘accepting my presence’ pose:

Happy Spring to those who are in the parts of the planet that finally see the signs of Spring!

Did the Red Red Robin go bob bob bobbing along? Hehe. I’m glad it’s finally warming for you all up there! 😎👍🏻🙏🏻🔥🌞
LOL Pretty much, eh John? He sure did stare me down!! Ah, thank you! I’m glad as well! Hope things are cool for you! Cher xo
Oh yes indeed! A fab day today Cher, been out for a bike ride, grilled steak on the grille for lunch, pruned a tree and cut down the Pups trying to grow from under the Mediterranean Fan Palm in the front yard. Life is fun and tasty today!
My goodness, what a brilliant day, John! I’m glad to hear this!!!! Cher xo
Now, that’s what I miss: that tough, pugnacious look of a Chicago robin. It must be Chicago; they don’t have that look here…
LOL LOL Oh John, too funny! I’m not surprised about that at all!! Cher xo
Happy Spring, Cher! 🙂
Ah, thank you so much, dear Bette! And the same to you! I can’t wait to hear about the return of the Monarchs!! Cher xo
You looking at me? lol
LOL That’s sure how I felt, Teri! LOL Cher xo
Here in my part of Texas, the first signs I usually see are some purple and white flowering trees. Spring for me, however, will always be Michigan, with melting snow and the first warmish day.
The flowers sound lovely, Becky! Ah, your Michigan memories are similar to mine from Canada! Thank you, Becky! Cher xo
Exactly!
