Friday’s Sunrise: Chicago/Lake Michigan, Illumination

Well this certainly was an interesting sunrise this morning here in Chicago.  I was intrigued by the pattern the sun made peeking through the clouds.  It almost looks star-shaped. The Polar Vortex still has somewhat of a grip in this area.  Lake Michigan continues to be covered in ice.  I like the stillness of it. To me, it seems calm, quiet, and serene.

I hope you have a day likened to this beautiful sunrise.

I saw a live picture yesterday on the news that showed the frozen Chicago River – hard to believe that could happen!! Stay toasty, Cher!
