A friend of mine used to say that God always had the nicest house on the block. That’s a particularly nice one.

LOL And a lovely house at that, isn’t it, John? I am certain you know this church all too well since you mentioned this area (or was that further down on Michigan Ave.?) Something about sitting on the grassy area during college? Cher xo

We used to sit out on the lawn surrounding the Water Tower, because it’s right outside Loyola’s front door. I spent a lot of time in that area, because I also worked at Water Tower Place and at The Gap on Chicago Avenue (that’s no longer there). Oddly enough, I don’t remember the church that well.

So you do know this area well, John! Oh you don’t? I wonder if you would if you saw it again. It’s a lovely area! So you were a Gap guy, eh? πŸ™‚ Cher xo

*biggest grin* I’m embracing this ‘cold’ like a good Canadian would! LOL Oh Lorrie, I’m not sure if you have seen the new features that I’ve added to my blog! Besides the asthetic changes, I now have an audio clip (of me speaking) with each post. I also have, “What Cher is Saying Today” located on the right-hand side of the page with little notes several times/week. Thank you and blessings, dear Lorrie! Cher xo

Thank you Cher, for this story of this wonderful church. In fact the church belongs to be a safe and warm place for other people. Often this does not happen. I wish you a fine day

An excellent and beautiful photo, Cher, and a great story about what happened outside the church when you left. I can’t help but notice the figure (who looks like they are sleeping) in the pugh. I’m sure you saw them too?

Thank you so much, dear Hugh! Yes, I did and felt so sad but grateful the church allows those who need shelter to come in and sit down for awhile. The man outside was quite the character, I must say! Although he certainly wasn’t pleased with my comments! LOL Thank you, Hugh! Cher xo
