I don’t know what type of clouds these are, but they sure looked interesting! They seemed to be in some sort of ‘tube’ pattern. It is difficult to see in the picture, but they kept rolling across Lake Michigan, almost competing for ‘air space’ with the less intimidating-looking clouds.
I love the mixture of dark and light; to me, it makes a nice sky contrast.
I hope your Thursday is filled with colorful moments like those that the sky painter provided this morning!

Very beautiful. There is coming bad weather. Wonderful view.
Hi Annie! Thank you! Yes, we are supposed to get rain tonight so you are right! Cher xo
I saw them today, too – so cool!
Perhaps it’s a Roll Cloud. A long tubular cloud. Another beautiful photo, Cher. ❤️
Ah, a roll cloud, eh John? That sure makes sense! I haven’t seen them here too often! Why thank you so much! Cher xo
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Lynn!! Cher xo
I like it too but looks like might lead to strata clouds and gloomy rain.
Hi Kelly! And you are right; rain is on its way! Cher xo
Wonderful. Maybe it is what they call a ‘cold front’.
That must be it, Hilary! And now, a day later, it is pouring rain! Cher xo
