Castle Church

I literally stumbled upon this beautiful church in Evanston, IL by sheer coincidence.  I had decided to take a walk in an area that I had never been to before.  As I rounded a corner to walk up a slight incline (there aren’t many in this area, as this is flat Prairie country) I noticed what appeared to be the top of a ‘castle’.  As I began to see this lovely building in full view, I realized it was a church!

What a wonderful architectural idea to place a castle-like top on this church.  I just love finds like this.  Have you found anything interesting on a walk-about recently?

What church is it, and/or where’s it located? Now you have me curious…

Hi John! Well I was traveling near Benson & Ridge; I took myself on a little ‘magical mystery tour’, so I didn’t even look at the name of the street! LOL But I think this is a Baptist Church. I’ll do some detective work and find out the exact location for you! Cher xo
