Throwback Thursday: Missing Maui

Today’s “Throwback Thursday” is brought to you by the Hawaiian Island of Maui! A number of years ago when the January temperatures in Chicago were a tad bit on the chilly side, I was looking at this incredible view on Maui.  Chicago’s frosty weather seemed a million miles away.  Slapping on sunscreen instead of shuffling through snow was a welcome reprieve.

I remember walking along the beach when I came upon a fellow with a Winnipeg Jets hat adorning the top of his sunburned face!  Immediately I began to grin and said, “Hey, Winnipeg!” The return greeting went something like, “Hey, how’s it goin’?”

Ah, my fellow Canadians; you will find us in practically every spot on the globe with a friendly greeting at the ready.  Knowing how extremely cold it gets in Winnipeg during the winter months, I daresay that the Winnipeger was only too happy to forgo his extreme winter garb and -35C temperatures for a bit of sun and sand!

I can hear the ocean waves lapping onto the beach…………….. Wait! No, that was just my sleep sound machine (I forgot to turn it off).  Ah, but a girl can dream, can’t she? 🙂

I might be in Hawaii this March-end. I so hope i can listen to those crashing waves in the nearly-hot weather.

It is a wonderful view. Especially by the 2 colours of the sea. The North sea has one colour. It misses the beautiful blue colour. It is wonderful.

Thank you, Annie! Oh yes, I love the 2 colors of the Pacific Ocean! Oh is it? It would be nice if it had the blue color, wouldn’t it, Annie? Cher xo
