How cool!
Isn’t that neat, Billy Ray? Cher xo
That lion’s name is “on the prowl” according to Encyclopedia Brittanica (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Art-Institute-of-Chicago), which as it happens is based in Chicago (the building at the rear of Pioneer Court. They moved the books from the main branch of the library to that building while they were doing needed repairs to the main branch, after which some genius decided to make the main branch the “Cultural Center,” leaving the stacks there for another twenty years or so). The lion on the other side is called “stands in an attitude of definace.” Frankly, I think they need real names, like Homer and Jethro or Abbot and Costello…
Hahahaha, ah John, you are always a wealth of interesting information! I agree with you! “Proper names” indeed are needed! And the, “Cultural Center” is a lovely, gorgeous building, but rather cavernous if you ask me! Thank you! Cher xo
Wow Cher, so beautiful 🙂
Isn’t it lovely, Irene? Cher xo
Very impressive and beautiful. The lion is a wonderful statue. I see him in his fully strength.
Thank you, Annie! Isn’t it lovely? Cher xo
