While gazing over Lake Michigan the other day, I was greeted by a rather interesting cloud gathering. It’s almost as if they were having a ‘cloud meeting’ of sorts. White, textured, popcorn-like clouds intertwined with long, grey barge-shaped clouds attempting to intimidate but literally filled with nothing more than hot air I suppose!
The ‘walled’ clouds seem to fill up some of the background, all the while pink hues of light kept any foreboding rain at bay.
And as quickly as this theatrical cloud contingency appeared in my midst, poof, it was gone.

Looks like we were both shown the beauty of clouds!! Hope you are well! Many blessings <3
Hi dear Lorrie! Yes, we were! *LOL* I love your clouds with the gorgeous blue sky! And you as well my dear! Many blessings, Lorrie! Thank you! Cher xo
😉
Magnificent Cher. Wonderful image.
Ah, thank you so much, Don! I was hoping others wouldn’t think my photo was, ‘just a bunch of clouds’! I saw such an unusual collection of cloud types and colors that I had to share!! Hope everything is going well in the UK, Don! Cher xo
Thanks Cher, going very well. Enjoying it immensely.
I am so pleased to hear it, Don! Such good news! Cher xo
popcorn, hum! I was thinking cotton candy 😄
Andy!!! You just named two of my favorite things! Okay, I’m going to include cotton candy! *quadruple clink for that one, Andy*! ;-P Cher xo
Clink! I know my snacks heh!
You sure do, Andy! That’s awesome!!!! 🙂
Gorgeous pic, Cher.
Do you like the O’Keeffe painting with the same theme at the AIC?

Ah, thank you so much! Thank you also for providing the link to the O’Keeffe painting! I do like it, and yes, I’ve seen it at the AIC. I think it’s a great representation of what it’s like to look out the window of an airplane and see the clouds below and the sky above. Great artist! Cher xo
What a beautiful sight once more. After all the beautiful pics you posted I am thinking of visiting Chicago as soon as possible.
Reblogged this on georgeforfun.
Very pretty! Gotta love a cloud convention. 🙂
I was quite pleased they decided to hold their convention long enough for me to take a photo! *grin* Thank you my dear! Cher xo
You have been giving us some wonderful cloud treats over the last year or so, Cher. What a collection. Keep that camera clicking, girl!! 🙂
Ah, bless! Thank you so much for that, dear Carol! I shall do that! *LOL* Thanks!!! Cher xo
Captured the image just in time!
I really was quite fortunate, wasn’t I? I saw it all float by and grabbed the camera! *LOL* Cher xo
Wonderful. I hope to see Lake Michigan again one day.
Thank you, Brenda! It’s lovely, isn’t it? Oh won’t that be nice! I am sure you will! Cher xo
Maybe one day. My dad grew up in Michigan. We used to collect agates on the shores.
Oh did he? That must have been wonderful! Such great memories of collecting agates on the shores, I’ll bet!
Yes, they were treasures for me. I still have some, 30 years later. My father’s family all come from the great lakes, Canada and US sides.
I bet they were, Brenda. Oh you still have some? That’s really cool. Ah, you have Canadian family, too! 🙂
Yes, my family were originally in Canada, and then crossed the border in the great-great- or great-great-great-grandparent stage. We’re lost touch with the Canadian branch, but they are undoubtedly still there.
I always find it fascinating when that happens, Brenda. In the knowing there are those we are related to ‘out there’, but unaware at the same time as to who they are!
I’ve started to think we are all related if only we go back far enough. 🙂
You know, I’ve thought about that myself! *LOL* Agreed! 🙂
You’re a kindred spirit!
Indeed, Brenda!! 🙂 🙂
This photograph is amazing Cher! 🙂
Why thank you! It was one of those perfect moments to take a photo; and then it was gone! I was really lucky! Cher xo
