I had a nice little stroll around the zoo today. At first, all was quiet. Strange, I thought, where is everyone? I mean, everyone in the duck family. Ah, the pond was frozen, and then I could understand why none of the duck folk were hanging around only to be teased by the echoing sounds of a fish found far below.
And then, I walked a little farther down the path and here’s what I saw:
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the coolest place in town; the, “DUCK INN HERE” pond. Do note the exclusive pond jacuzzi, reserved for only those select few who have their “Mallard Money” on hand. A couple of swans joined the party; however, they must have sung a “Swan Song” to be invited to this duckly crew soiree.
Note: I’m sure most of you know this, but in case you don’t, please click on the pictures to see them in full view! It’s a great way to see the detail! 🙂

Great! What an amazing picture of all the ducks.

Exquisite! Leave it to the birds to know how to have a party in any weather. 🙂 What a lovely surprise you encountered.

Thank you! Yes, those birds know how to shake it, don’t they? *LOL* I was so thrilled at the surprise, yes! It was rather disappointing when I didn’t see one single duck at the big pond; and then, there they all were! Thank you for your kind comments!! Cher xo

You’re right. The big picture is better to see the white swans. Awesome.

Thank YOU! Yes, the white swans performing “Swan Lake”! I love it! I think it is a wee bit cold for these beautiful creatures, bless them. The mallard ducks are striking; they have luminescent, green heads in contrast with their orange, webbed feet! Quite a marvelous sight! Cher xo
