I would like to wish my fellow Canadians around the world and those who love the “Great White North” a very Happy Canada Day!
Here’s a wee, light-hearted poem to celebrate the day:
A Canada Day Toast
Here’s to Canada, bright and wide,
with maple leaves and northern pride.
To lakes that sparkle, skies that glow,
and winters that put on quite the show.
Here’s to Canadians, kind and true,
who say “sorry” when you bump into them too.
With Tim Hortons coffee cups and a friendly grin,
And yes, hockey hopes that always win.
So raise a flag, a laugh, a cheer,
for Canada Day is finally here.
From coast to coast, let joy take flight,
in red and white, all bold and bright!
