
A few days ago I took this photo with the setting sun’s light providing a few clouds with some extra color! If you take a look at the bottom of the photo you can see that some trees are ‘lit up’ from the sun. As Lake Michigan is East, I usually get sunrise pictures; however, sometimes the sunset allows for just a bit of light to shine from the west and onto the clouds and trees, making for an interesting photo.
There is something magical about this picture; to me, anyway. Did you spot the lone sailboat on Lake Michigan? How about the plane in the sky heading towards Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport? This is what I utterly adore about taking photos of the sky over Lake Michigan: these little extra tidbits that make the picture that more interesting.
