As one of the newest towering structures in downtown Chicago, the “River Point Building” has a curvy construction and a bold appearance.
Built by architects Pickard and Chilton, this ultra-modern skyscraper stands at 52 stories tall. A little interesting tidbit about the construction of this building: it is so close to the Chicago Transit Authority’s train tracks that some of the building’s steel columns actually lean inward. Good idea, I’d say.
The ‘rippled reflection’ on the surface of the Chicago River is delightful! As a couple of boats had recently caused some ripples, this adds to the interest of the reflection. I compare it to a distorted mirror at a carnival!
I’m going to take a walk inside of this building to see if there is anything unusual about its interior. Normally I prefer old structures but this one has its own personality, so I’m liking it quite a bit.
I hope you have a lovely day with rippled effects of happiness!
