I am so honored to tell you that a story I wrote is included in the upcoming book, “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive, Live Happy.” (I’m on page 191) 🙂
My story, “When the Blind Taught Me to See” was inspired by my volunteering time at Blind Service Association here in Chicago.
In the story I write about how much the blind/low-vision community has taught me that everyone can experience happiness with the same things, just in different ways. I literally learned to appreciate the every day blessings we have, and to be grateful for the small things in life. In reality, they are actually big things, such as seeing a puppy wag its tail, or hearing a baby laugh. These are all precious gifts.
The book is on sale this Tuesday, September 24th in local bookstores around the globe and online at: amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, indiebound.com and at chapters.indigo.ca
I’ll be writing another post this week about my story as I am giving away a few signed books!! So please stay tuned if you’d like a chance to win a copy!
I want to thank the Chicken Soup for the Soul team for including my story in their latest book. I want to send a special thanks to Amy Newmark, Deborah Norville, and D’Ette Corona for this incredible opportunity. I am honestly grateful beyond words.
