I can’t believe I am about to admit this, but yes, it is COLD here in Chicago today! I always remind myself about the frigid, sub-Arctic temperatures I experienced in Western Canada (specifically, Winnipeg, Manitoba).Β However, I must say today is bordering on some of those frosty memories of mine.
It’s about -14C (6F). Now, given the fact I spent many years experiencing -30C to -40C temperatures (almost the same in Fahrenheit) you would think -14 wouldn’t be so bad! I don’t know if it is the wind or what, but I can still feel it and I’ve been inside for about 30 minutes!
Ah, but to the photo in this post:Β I took this lovely sunrise this morning, and as you can see, Lake Michigan yet again has provided us with a sheen on its surface.Β Can you see where it appears as if a ‘wave’ literally froze in place? Perhaps an illusion, but a beautiful one at that.
So here’s to hot chocolate, blankets, cozy socks, and the arrival of Spring! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday in your area of the planet!
