Last Monday I had the absolute pleasure of talking with RoundHouse Radio’s (89.3 FM) “Our City” host Kirk LaPointe. RoundHouse Radio is a Canadian radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia. I was honored to be interviewed by Kirk; he has a segment on his show called, “ExPat CallOut”. Former Vancouverites who live in all areas of the globe talk about their experiences living in their new locations. From politics to local topics of interest, Kirk LaPointe’s show is a terrific way for people to hear about the experiences and influences expats have taken with them from Vancouver. The show provides a unique perspective on what it’s like to be from this beautiful West Coast city, and how it is different (or similar) to where they now call home.
Despite the fact I am not from Vancouver, I was graciously invited to the show. The time went by in a “New York”, I mean, “Chicago” minute!

l folks from the show have kindly invited me back some time in the future so I can provide listeners with a Chicago major event (or two) that might capture their interest. Who knows, maybe we’ll have some Vancouver travelers asking about that deep-dish pizza they’ve (now) heard about. I think it’s safe to say that Chicago will no doubt be hosting some pretty interesting events this year. Here’s a hint: there’s a cup involved for the win, and there is also talk about a lot of water…………….Stay tuned!
