Sunday Serenity: Kindly Reaching for Normality

Once again, I must apologize to you, my dear readers.

I haven’t posted regularly for quite some time, and I am sorry that I’ve rather disappeared from the blogosphere recently.

It’s hard to believe today is August 8th! I feel that last year dragged quite a bit, but this year seems to be the opposite.

I took the above shot about a month ago. Lake Michigan was in fine form, and some of the Chicago skyline looming in the distance was a welcomed sight. I miss going out and about and spending time in the downtown area that I love.

It’s not that we are back at the beginning of the pandemic here in Chicago; it’s just that with huge numbers of people in any area at any given time, I’m not ready for the crowd scene just yet.

We have the “Delta Variant” running rampant here in Illinois. With the continuance of so many unknowns, it is difficult to wrap my head around it.

So, having said all of that, since my most recent post was weeks ago, I want to ask you for updates. How are you doing? What strategies do you have for coping with the continuance of the pandemic? Is the situation in your part of the world much better than it has been?

I talk a lot on my blog about kindness. I’d say it is one of the most important factors humans can have. To me, it brings goodness to the world that needs to be here. It changes our outlook, our feelings, thoughts, attitudes, and for that matter, our reality.

Kindness gently sees through the nonsense and instead shines a light on it. I think that we do a disservice to ourselves when we don’t practice, accept, or acknowledge kindness.

So, here I am, sending you tons of kindness, good energy, and hopeful thoughts so that we all continue making things a bit better for others and (for ourselves) with the sprinkle of kindness drops!

I hope you are having a brilliant day!

P.S. KINDNESS MATTERS!
