This time of year brings the most spectacular sunrises over Lake Michigan here in Chicago. I wanted to ‘paint the scene’ for you, if I might. Every morning as I draw the shades open, I tend to do this rather slowly. It’s as if in my mind I’m seeing a play, a theater production that I know will no doubt be marvelous; however, I just don’t know what it is going to look like!
When it is time for the performance to begin, I see it unfolding in front of me. Then I begin to take photos, hoping to get a shot good enough to share with you. I get such great happiness knowing you will enjoy looking at this scene as much as I did the first thing in the morning.
