The Friday File – Illinois Institute of Technology

Illinois Institute of Technology 1

Would you look at this beautiful building!Β  Along my train travels the other day I saw this extremely massive and impressive building.Β  I had to find out what on earth it housed.

This is one of the buildings that belongs to the Illinois Institute of Technology.Β  Built in 1893 by architects Patton & Fisher, this Romanesque Revival style exterior has all the trappings of a grand European structure, don’t you think?

I had not been to this particular area of Chicago before; seeing this remarkable building from the train window was quite delightful, I must say!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday, from whatever vantage point you are currently experiencing!!
