I’ve been amazed this past week by the incredible cavalcade of cloud formations that have rolled by. Almost every morning I’ve been privy to a cloud performance that was completely unique from the day before.
This is the time of year when the sunrises begin to take center stage and provide me with some surreal photos which I’m really looking forward to sharing with you! I literally feel as if I’m watching a sky play unfold right in front of me, unsure what is going to show up next, but knowing it’s going to be fascinating.
That’s how I see the clouds and sunrises over Lake Michigan. At times I feel that perhaps I’m reading ‘too much’ into these daily delights. But then again, comparing nature to an art form isn’t really that much of a stretch of the imagination, is it? We can see the wonder of patterns, placement, and synergy all around us in nature; why not the clouds and sun as well?
The temperatures here in Chicago are just beginning to make a tiny dip downward which, if I’m being honest, is fine by me. I love the autumn and cooler air. This time of year always brings me clarity and new beginnings. After summer and its humid air have receded, I tend to feel a sense of renewal. Perhaps it’s a reminder of my school days where everything began afresh (including the temperatures). I’m not sure, really.
I see how I began this post by talking about the sunrises and clouds. Perhaps my head is up in the clouds on this lovely, Saturday morning. But that’s okay. It’s nice to just let my thoughts drift in a similar fashion as the clouds do over Lake Michigan.
I hope you find yourself having a wonderful, relaxing and ‘cloud floating’ kind of Saturday! At least for a few moments, anyway!
