Treetop Autumn Treasures: Reflected Glory

I certainly wouldn’t blame you if you think some of the trees in the above photo are laden with golden leaves.  Interestingly, they aren’t.  Sometimes the reflected sunset provides such an amazing light illusion, as is the case with these beautiful trees.

Last week I couldn’t believe what I was seeing out my window.  The sunset was ‘choosing’ parts of trees to cascade in yellow/gold tones for just a few minutes.  I am so glad I was able to get a photo of this to share with you.

Not too long after I snapped this shot the leaves on the trees became a dark green.  Here in Chicago the leaves turn much later than where I lived in Canada.  Suffice it to say, Mother Nature once again put on a lovely light show that definitely made me smile.  I hope it does the same for you!
