I’ll be curious to read about any differences you might find between US and Canada. My mom’s Canadian so I’ve been to the great country of Canada a few times 🙂 Smarties, mountain dew sans caffeine, kilometers, and stuff about the Queen, I think those were the only differences I noticed. Oh, and the obvious -ou spelling/pronunciation thing. Anyway, looking forward to reading more! Happy Chicago adventures 🙂

Indeed! It’d be a good experiment… Do I get treated differently if I flash the Canadian one? Everybody loves Canadians! Americans….um not so much. There may be a few negative stereotypes floating around about Americans….. 😛

Your Canadian passport will shock you in how it is received. I *humbly* say that yes, Canadians are a good bunch and we are appreciative of how the world receives (and perceives) us. Your comments about Americans will make you laugh while reading my posts. I tend to use my Canadian style while writing about my experiences here in the US, but of course, my observations are seen with the maple leaf eyes, and sometimes it isn’t so pleasant. I have written about kindness, and how my friendly disposition is greeted with suspicion here in CHItown on occasion. I am attempting to change that, and show my fellow Chicagoans that it is okay to smile and hold that door open for the next person! *biggest grin*

ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in Chicago, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expatand your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.
