Only when I travel! It is peaceful listening to the loudest Robin wake up his friends. Early bird get the worm, and all that.🩷🇨🇦

Thank you so much! Yes, what a cool way to describe the Robin! I love that! And yes, there’s always that early bird catches the worm (and in my case, the early bird gets the freshest bread at the bakery!) LOL Cher xoxoxo

It depends on the season 😄 I like when I catch the minutes when the night changes slowly into the day and the first birds begin to sing.

Are you, Hugh? I think that is such a positive way to start the day: up with the larks! Do you find businesses are open earlier these days, Hugh? Ah, thank you so much! Chicago never ceases to amaze me! Cher xoxoxo

No, most local businesses near us (besides the supermarkets) seem to open around 10 am and close at 6 pm. Cher. In London, even the big retail shops open later than they used to when I worked in retail. However, most now stay open until quite late. Back in my days when I worked in retail, late-night shopping was only on a Thursday evening, and we never opened on a Sunday. How things have changed.

They certainly have changed, haven’t they, Hugh? I was literally watching a BBC Archive documentary on YouTube yesterday, which described a group who were adamantly opposed to retail stores opened on Sundays. There was another group who was all for it. I think this was in 1957 if I’m not mistaken.
That’s so interesting that late-night shopping was only on a Thursday evening, Hugh.
