That’s an old Marshall Field’s tradition, the Christmas tree in the Walnut room. I had a great-aunt that worked at Field’s and she used to have us come down for lunch under the tree. I’m glad that Macy’s has kept that tradition going.

As ever, Macy’s does a wonderful job with their Christmas tree, Cher. At 45foot high, some body very tall must have had to put the star on top.

I like the number plate on Santa’s car, too. I hope those gifts do not fall off the roof.

I wonder how long it takes to put that tree up?

They sure do, Hugh! LOL Now there is a photo I wished I could have captured! The star of the show would be the person to put the star on top indeed!

Another concern that we share, Hugh! I didn’t dare look twice lest the gifts came tumbling down! LOL

That is a very good question! I will try and find out. If I do, I shall let you know! Thanks so much, Hugh! Cher xoxoxo
