Thank you so much, JT! I have walked past this building many times, and I finally got a decent photo! It’s a very busy street, so I had to snap quickly before the next car approached! LOL Cher xoxoxo

Thank you, John! I think it must feel great to go into the building with the angels on both sides of the entrance! Cher xoxoxo

Love the two cement carvings on each side midway of the doors. It boggles the mind the procedure involved carvings or setting these statues sort of speaking.bbif you expand the photo you will also see the craftsmanship of the green window.

Thank you so much, Joseph! Yes, I agree! I can’t even imagine what is involved in creating such beautiful carvings. And the green window, too as you mentioned! Cher xoxoxo

In the ’50’s when Mom was there, it was Mundelein College. It became part of Loyola in 1991, them being neighbors and attendance at Mundelein dropping off. That’s where North Sherdan Road becomes West Sheridan Road, briefly.

Those angels are really amazing, are’t they?

Hi John! Great to hear from you! Now, there is a great piece of information that I didn’t know about! Thank you so much for that!

Was your Mom in that specific building, John?

Yes, the angels really are amazing! I was on the other side of the street waiting for a break in the (very busy) traffic flow. It took me about four or five tries and there it was! LOL

Thank you so much, John! Cher xoxoxo

Yes, she was. That was pretty much the whole college at the time.

I don’t know what the protocol is for that. I would tell you “just walk in the doors and wander around,” but they might not appreciate that. Here’s information on the building: https://www.luc.edu/wla/mundeleincollegebuildings/themundeleincollegeskyscraper/

I was mistaken: there are a couple more buildings on the Mundelein campus, Coffey Hall and Piper Hall, where they have the Women and Leadership Archives. There’s a number for the archive (773.508.8837); they might be able to help you out. Hope that helps…
