Thursday Doors: Biltmore Hotel Entrance, Los Angeles

The lovely Norm from Norm 2.0 has a fun weekly feature called, “Thursday Doors”.  He invites fellow bloggers to share unique and sometimes thought-provoking doors that we happen to see during our travels.  The photo above is of an entrance to the stunning Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California.  There are a number of entrances into the hotel.  If you have the opportunity to visit this incredible place, you won’t need to worry about missing out on a beautiful entry-way since they are all gorgeous.

Since the early Academy Awards were hosted here back in the 1920’s, I can only imagine what it must have been like back then to step through the doors of this oppulent hotel.  I think the term, “making a grand entrance” must have started here (I’m just making that up, but you can see what I mean)!

Whoever designed and did the doors and entrances DID make a grand entrance. In fact, he (?) made many grand entrances. 🙂 Makes me want to get out one of my elegant hats, dress up, and go visit.

Very true, Janet! Oh yes, wouldn’t it be something? They had the actual dress in a display cabinet that a socialite wore in the 1920’s! It is incredible! Thank you, my dear! Cher xo
