Actually………*LOL* No, just when it’s fairly calm. Two summers ago we sunk the kayak! It was tough getting it to shore, but thankfully we were in shallow water! EEK! *too choppy that day* Cher xo

Looks like Farwell pier. I grew up in Rogers Park and used to hang out around there sometimes.

Actually this is Osterman Beach, but I believe Farwell Pier is farther North (this photo is Edgewater Beach). That is very cool, John! Cher xo

Right, Farwell is 7000 North. Edgewater would be about two miles south, around Bryn Mawr.

Right where Lake Shore Drive starts, near the old Edgewater Beach Hotel (which has been gone at least 40 years). Take the boy out of Chicago, you can’t take Chicago out of the boy…

That’s right!! I’ve seen photos of the old Edgewater Beach Hotel. Quite the place! I so wish it had not been torn down, as the photos look like the kind of place I’d love to visit! Yes, once a Chicagoan…………. Cher xo
