Several months ago I mentioned I would be taking a little jaunt around Lake Michigan via the fantastic vessel you see in the above photo! I cannot wait to share with you my experiences aboard the phenomenal ship, “Odyssey”. I’ll be taking a 2-hour cruise next week and giving you the sailing scoop shortly thereafter! Please stay tuned!

Lovely image of that strange ‘liquorice allsort’ craft 🙂
*LOL* I am looking forward to a cruise on that craft, Graham!! 🙂 Cher xo
Oh, nice description for the ship, too.
Consider it done, Joseph!! Shall do! Cher xo
Looking forward to your post, Cher!!!
Thank you so much, Erika! I am really looking forward to the cruise and writing about it! Cher xo
😊
Enjoy your cruise Cher 😉
Thank you so much, Irene! Cher xo
Bon Voyage!
Thanks so much, Don! I’ll try to get some really nice shots from the ship looking back towards the Chicago skyline! Cher xo
Aye Aye, Captain Cher! XO
*LOL*, Don! No, I’m the one who gets to take some photos and eat!! 😉 Cher xo
All kidding aside, I hope you have a wonderful time. Don xo
You mean you were kidding???? 😉 xo
LMAO Yes and no. LOL Don xo
Got it!! 😉 *LMAO* Cher xo
Phew! LMAO Don xo
Aye, aye, Don!! Hehehehehehe!!! Cher xo
Smart ass! LOL xo
People say I don’t ‘look’ like I am; but that’s the great part about it!! What fun!! 😉 Cher xo
Welllllllllllllllllllllll I think you are, so that makes you an official ‘smart ass!” xoxo
I can handle that! Hahahaha!! Cher xo
I knew you could! Xo
Full speed ahead, captain! xo
Hahahaha!! You now know I must go and speak with said captain on the cruise! I’ll try and get a photo! Cher xo
Aye Aye Ms Cher! And don’t forget to drop anchor before you take his photo. xoxo
*sigh* You mean I have to do THAT, too?? 😉 xo
Yep, and let me know if you see Canada too. xoxo
*LOL* Funny you should mention seeing Canada. Apparently someone looked out to the horizon on Lake Michigan last summer and said, “Is that Canada?” I wish it were me they had said it to because do you know what my response would have been, Don? “No, It’s Iowa.” *Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner* Ahem. 😉 Cher xo
If he looked in the opposite direction, then he would have saw Iowa, and possibly Denver. Don xo
*LOL* Cher xo
That sounds so cool. Is the lake choppy.. I haven’t a clue?
Thank you! It can be as smooth as glass or as choppy as boiling water, and everything in between! But this cruise is just around the skyline. I’ll certainly let you know when I write a post about it! Cher xo
Enjoy every moment in your cruise – Beautiful!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! Cher xo
That should be great fun!
Thank you, Brett! I think so too! I look forward to reporting my seafaring adventure! Cher xo
Oh, I did this in the Boston Harbor on an Odyssey cruise. Such fun! Enjoy!
Did you, Brenda? That is so cool! Thank you so much! Cher xo
It was memorable. We took a cruise when the tall ships were in the harbor, too. But not in the fancy piano-like boat. 🙂
*LOL* Ah, the tall ships! Aren’t they spectacular? Well I will be doing a post shortly after the cruise, so if you have the chance to stop by and read it, I’d be interested in your comparison/differences from your cruise, Brenda! Cher xo
I’ll look for it. 🙂 If I miss it, it’s just life getting in the way. My kids keep me busy, and I’m working on a novel, so I have to ignore blogging for long stretches.
I know you are a busy lady, Brenda! No worries at all! Cher xo
XOXO
Enjoy your cruise! We will look forward to your post!
Can’t wait to see the upcoming post. Sounds interesting. I love cruising, long or short, day or night. By the way, I don’t think I mentioned how much I enjoy seeing your page load in my browser. The photo of the Elevated says something to me.
Thanks, John! I really appreciate your comments! I’ve never been on a long cruise, and this one is just 2 hours, but I absolutely love being out on the water! Maui and snorkeling come to mind! 🙂 Ah, that is so nice to hear! What does it say to you, John? Cher xo
On my visits to Chicago, I rode the train a few times. The pic brings back memories. I once had a car stall on me right under the tracks one time.
Oh did you, John? Do you happen to remember what road you were on? Cher xo
Not sure. I was downtown and we were not far from what was then the Sears tower.
Interestingly enough John, the “Sears Tower” is now the “Willis Tower” and they are going to change it again (new owners) in a year or two. Still the Sears Tower to the ‘locals’! Cher xo
I knew it had a new name, didn’t know what it was. Thanks.
🙂
Reblogged this on georgeforfun.
It’s been a while since I was last here. Hope you are well 🙂
It is a pleasure to see you again, Amber! Things are great, thanks! Right back at you! Cher xo
Going on that cruise is very appealing. I look forward to your report.
Hi Ronnie! It was FANTASTIC! I am going to be writing two posts about it in the next few days! Shall look forward to hearing what you think! Thank you, Ronnie! Cher xo
