Today, November 21st is, “World Hello Day”. Before you think perhaps I’ve taken leave of my senses, I shall explain.
This special day began in 1973 (which, by the way, if you read yesterday’s post about the first cell phone, shares the same year with that invention; hhhmm, interesting) to note that conflict should be expressed through means of communication, as opposed to using force. The idea is to say, “hello” to promote peace.

I am sending you a huge, ‘HELLO FROM CHICAGO,’ and I hope wherever you are reading this today, you’ll please take a moment and simply say, “Hello” to someone. Trust me, it will do you a WORLD of good!
Hello 🙂 I never knew there existed a World Hello Day. Thanks for this amazing post 🙂

I agree with you completely! Sometimes it can be overwhelming in the world, but to do our little part to be kind and say, “Hello”, does make a difference. That’s how I feel about it!! xo

You’re absolutely right, a little kindness goes a long way, a long long way.. and it doesn’t take much to be kind, a smile, a simple Hello is all. It’s good to be polite and spread warm feelings among everyone.

Thank feck it’s not ‘plaid!’ What the hell is that all about? At least you had the decency to say tartan. Where is your family from, my sweet and beautiful lassie?

Oh my dear, I quite agree! I loathe the word, “plaid”. I don’t know what the hell that is about either! We had some family that moved from the Isle of Islay to Canada eons ago. However, a few years ago we found distant relatives in Glasgow (same last name as my maiden name). After an uncle of mine did some research, he is quite certain we are related. xoxo

I had no idea there was a World Hello Day, although “Holiday Doodles” mentioned it yesterday which should have explained it.
