Beautiful. Take a look at the last Ram On post. My father gave me the name of one of his Loop lunch spots. I poked around and found some fun photos. Seems to fit right into your Windy City theme.
Ah, Ed. I wish it weren’t so!! I know I’m not a photographer by any means, but I shall certainly continue to capture these sunrises to share the sun!!! Cher xo
Hi, Cher
All is much better Clan and I are finally through multiple teethings, diffidult when 6 in house are 2 or under((, so many teeth, so many restless evenings. Then Grandpa/Uncle George misses a step in the middle of the night waking up suddenly. Didn’t remember I was on 2nd floor, fractured my leg right above where ankle surgery had already weakened bones
FUN
Reacquainted myself with the techniques of Wheelchair safety and speed limits.
Now only four extra legged, Cane, existence)))))
But all in all, still blessed abundantly. Sons came home to visit over Columbus day holiday, surprised and comforting for all. Whole Clan will come home for Christmas plus my Daughter in Laws family, extra 10 folks. YAY Good thing we have extra house across the road/street. Neighbors finished their renovations on new/old house and will be out before Dec 15
Perfect timing. Now if I can stay without superglue for a bit longer.
Hopefully all is well with you))))))))))))))))))))))
Awh, bless you, George! I am so sorry to hear about your fracture, though! I am happy that your family is getting together for the holidays! Yes, good thing indeed about the extra house, et al! You always have your sense of humour, George. I admire that tremendously!!! Big hugs, Cher xo
Nothing helps keep me humble and reinforces my sense of humor like mirrors and utterly brutally frank Clan members. I’m learning like defense lawyers, don’t ask the question if you don’t already know the answer))))))))))))))))))))))
Hope your weekend was great or at least above freezing most of the time))))))))))
*LOL* Oh George, you are a hoot! Yes, I had a great weekend, thanks! A bit on the chilly side here in CHItown over the weekend. But hey, I come from the land of the ice and snow so I’m just fine! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Cher xo
Oh Hilary, that is brilliant! Did you happen to hear that Chicago received gale-force winds and ice pellets! It was so windy that parts of Lakeshore Drive had to be closed as the water from Lake Michigan was coming onto the road!! I am sure the trick or treaters in the UK were exceptionally happy about their mild weather! Cher xo
Stunning and breathtaking. I really thought I was following you, Cher, and if I haven’t been I do apologize. WP has a way of dropping some blogs I do follow. Anyways ….this sunrise is fabulous!! Love, Amy
Awh, bless you, dear Amy! Yes, WP does this sometimes! Nay matter, here you are!! Oh thank you! It is truly a humbling experience to see these natural wonders! Love, Cher xo
If you knew the extent of how many blogs I follow, you would understand how easy it is for me to not see when I get unfollowed from one. I’ve lost track, honestly. I really try to be fair to all who come to Petals which is a pretty tall order. And as for natural wonders …. Mother has a way of getting me tongue tied and in such awe that at times I just feel like melting into what is all around me and before me. May your evening be Blessed and thank you for understanding. Love, Amy
Oh I totally understand! I think I am in the same boat! Yes, Mother Nature does have a way of leaving use in a state of awe, doesn’t she? And to you as well, my dear!! Love, Cher xo
Oh me too, David! It is amazing to me how the sky can look so different literally from one minute to the next; an ever-changing natural painting! Yes, we did have some nice weather a while back, but it’s ‘below seasonal average’ now (so I’m told; but being Canadian, it’s fine)! Cher xo

Excellent view, Cher. You are some lucky lady to wake up to these spectacular sights! And thanks for the extra sunshine. Just what I needed! 🙂
We seem to have received your sunshine here today, with temperatures up around 22 centigrade – a record for Halloween in the UK.

I always love nice sunrises. I was in Chicago a little before you took this. There was some gorgeous weather.
