Well now, what do we have here? About a week ago, two Canada Geese and their five adorable goslings somehow decided it would be worth their while to try to hitch a ride on the Interstate 80 Freeway. Thankfully, a couple of goose “good-doers” escorted the geese until the police arrived. They were safely guided into a neighborhood where they appeared to take quite well to their new digs. Traffic was tied up for about an hour.

Behold! Just like a good Canadian, even our Canadian geese line up in an orderly fashion! Now that’s a real Canadian configuration if I ever saw one! Happy Friday, everyone!

Cher, this is just mind boggling. What a wonderful attitude – the value and sacredness of all things. Beautiful. I wish you Canadians could give us something of that spirit here. That wouldn’t happen here. Wonderful post.

Hi dear Don! Well this happened in Chicago, so I cannot give my fellow Canadians a tip of the hat for this one! Well, only to the Canada Geese, bless them! Awh, thank you, Don! Rarely do I watch our local Chicago news, because it’s so incredibly upsetting most days. However, when I heard about this heartwarming story, I simply had to tune in! I am sending you a big Canadian hug!! Cher xo

*LOL* seeker!! I think from now on instead of thinking, Oh My Gosh for OMG, I’m going to think, Oh My Geese (Canadian)! That is a traffic stopper, indeed! And I was absolutely thrilled that they didn’t ‘ignore’ them, as it were! Guess what, dear seeker? Meethinks it was because they are CANADIAN geese!! Yeay!! *LOL* Cher xo

That is amazing!! I love the Canadian Geese 🙂 Reminds me of a few years ago when a mama duck and about 4 of her ducklings showed up in my neighbor’s pool..we had no idea how they got in…or how they left. They floated around in the pool for a few hours and then they were on their way! So cute!

Oh Bonnie, isn’t that sweet? I guess they just needed to have a refresher before they were on their way! *LOL* Big hugs, Cher xo

We had a pair of Canada Geese nesting in the parking lot behind our building. When I left the office on Thursday, they were nowhere to be seen. I hope that means the goslings were born and they had gone for a walk. We even had a “name the goslings” contest. They can be pretty aggressive so it was funny to watch everyone give them a wide berth on the way to their cars.

Wow, Michelle! I hope they were okay! I am praying that the goslings needed to stretch their new little legs! *LOL* It must have been funny to watch that! Big hugs, Cher xo
