You should turn these into NFTs. I bet they’d sell like Teslas!

I’ve never seen a post box like this before, Cher, It’s beautiful! It’s too bad that they aren’t made like this today. It reminds me of the British post boxes. 🇬🇧 Great find.

Hi John! Isn’t it something? They still collect mail from it too! Do you see the ‘chute’ above the letter box? I am not sure if it still works or not. I guess people from different floors would drop the mail in the chute, and down it went into the box! Yes, I thought so too, John! Thank you! Cher xoxoxo

Wow, the letters may hurt as you collect the falling mail! I wish more things were that stylish and beautiful!

I wouldn’t want to be standing at the bottom of the chute, John! LOL Raining envelopes, anyone? Ah, me too, my friend! Thank you, John! Cher xoxoxo

That’s so beautiful! We are slowly phasing out mailboxes here. Gone the way of the telephone booth. Thanks for the lovely photo! xoxoxo

Why thank you so much, dear Holly! Ah, and that is so sad, isn’t it? They are so treasured in my opinion. Popping a letter into that beautiful letter box brings such a special experience. Thank you, my dear! Cher xoxoxo

        I know, it’s a piece of Americana lost. ❤️

A bit sad, so many things are being deleted from the landscape. xoxoxo

I agree, Holly. I remember back in Canada when large post offices were replaced by smaller counters at the back of pharmacies. I was thrilled to go into a large, ‘old-fashioned’ post office when I moved to the U.S. However, I agree with you that so many things are being deleted from the landscape. Here’s to post offices, letter boxes, and the return of mail boxes in front of homes!! Cher xoxoxo

We have some gold-coloured pillar boxes scattered around the UK, Cher. They were placed in the areas where our gold medalist from the 2012 London Olympic Games lived. If I ever see one, I’ll take a photo of one for you.
