Sunday Serenity: Rainbow Amidst the Storm

I took this photo a few days ago, and was immediately amazed at how large the stormcloud was over Lake Michigan. But then I noticed a small rainbow looming in the background.

I feel this is a wonderful metaphor for the world at the moment. Although things seem extremely overwhelming, dark, and without hope, the goodness is there, waiting to arrive once the storm has cleared.

We are in this together, so let’s keep well in the knowledge that better times are on the horizon.

I’ve never seen a photo quite like this one, Cher, and so fitting for our times, as you say!

What a lovely picture. Rainbows are always such a source of hope. Laura posted a picture of one she took in Oakville the other day.

LOVE this message, Cher! I so agree with you! Storm clouds may be all alarming right now BUT the LIGHT behind those clouds and the fact a rainbow peeked out, is a sure and glorious sign GOOD is coming. Thank goodness!! I’ve had my eye on the “light” refusing to bow my knee to the evil and hatred that have poisoned this world. Wherever I go, I AM light and love. Love is truly the answer. xoxo

Everything will get better but it might get wors for a bit. Lets look at the bright side with this little story. There was a little girl who once saw a rainbow far away. The clouds were grey as she walked towards the rainbow. Once she got there she looked for the end of the rainbow as she was told there was a pot of gold at the end of each rainbow. She was excited as she found the end of the rainbow she tripped. She got up and wiped off her dress and focus on what pot of gold was left her. Her eyes came into focus and she could not believe all the demo tapes that were there. She did not become discouraged with the many. All she needed was one and so she went home made a demo tape and became famous. No grey clouds only rainbows.

Only you can make it happen. If you are going to go by what other people say your dream will never come true.

That looks so much like the rainbow bridge in Norse mythology that goes up to Asgard. 😲🤩

Love the rainbow Cher… Every dark cloud has a silver lining…. and although I feel October may throw us a few storm clouds… I keep my vision focus on the light of that rainbow out in the distance… Its there, just waiting for us to see it and when we do, those dark clouds will drift away…
Much love… Beautiful capture Cher.. Enjoy your week ❤
