Thursday’s Sunrise: Ribbon of Fire

This certainly was a lovely, albeit fleeting surprise this morning over Lake Michigan!  I was excited to see what the sky painter had in store for this morning’s sunrise!  I certainly wasn’t disappointed!  As the sun rose, the colors became more brilliant, but quickly turned pale so I had to be quick with the camera on this one!

To me the clouds that streak across the sky remind me of a ribbon of fire.  Have you ever stared into a campfire or a fireplace and noticed a line of flames that look at bit like the cloud formation in this photo?  Perhaps you see something else in this pic.  I’d love to know what is drawing you into the photo that others might not see in the same light (pun intended).

I hope you have a lovely, light-filled day!

After enjoying the bright ribbon at the top, my eyes were drawn to the lights on the shore, wondering if there were people walking down there, enjoying the sunrise “up close.” I hope you have a wonderful day, too, Cher!

Oh, you are much more observant than me, Becky! It’s a very big possibility! Thank you, my dear! Cher xo
