Sunday Serenity: The Wonky Week That Was

Did anyone happen to experience a rather ‘wonky week’?  The unusual energy was almost palpable.  From computers on the fritz, to witnessing very strange behaviors, I’m certainly glad we are starting a fresh week tomorrow.

For me the strangest occurrence was on Friday the 13th.  Strolling through my neighborhood I came upon a woman sitting by a bush with bags and bags of something or another.  As I walked past her she grabbed her coat, shielded her eyes from me and began yelling at me in French calling me a “monster”.

I don’t hear French spoken very often here in Chicago so to hear it (and in the manner in which I heard it) was surprising.

By the way, I took the above photo early last week.  It certainly reminded me of Halloween and clearly it foreshadowed the wonky week ahead!

Ah, c’est la vie!

What about you, how was your week in your part of the world?

    Beautiful photo, Cher 🙂
Here in Spain, we have had over flooding of rain, storm etc. Many places received more than 10 times the usual water for the whole September in two days. Many were evacuated, as their houses were not secure to stay in. 6 people lost their lives. I was lucky this time, as I now live up at the hill in the city. Last year we had flooding all over our house.

Awh, thank you, dear Irene! Oh no, that’s not good at all. I’m really sorry to hear about this. But thank goodness you are in a house now that is up the hill! Whew! Cher xo

Very spooky. I finally got all the paperwork ready for an insurance claim only to find out the agent in charge has either resigned or been fired. So it’s all over again with a new one.

Not particularly wonky… just too warm and too humid… while I prefer cool and dry. I don’t mind rain, just not humidity!

Oh that humidity! Not something you normally experience in SoCal!! I certainly know what you mean, my dear! Cher xo

    Hi Cher
It was indeed an unusual week. I didn’t have any weird encounters but just a “disturbance in the force” kind of feel

Maybe it was the full moon? Still way too hot, here in Texas, but no one yelling at me in French:)

Oh that could very well be, Becky! LOL I’m sorry about the heat, but glad you didn’t have anyone yelling at you (in French or otherwise)! 😉 Cher xo

Those little pockets of strangeness are always out there, Cher. Sometimes, they explode when we least expect them to. As they are often disguised, trying to avoid them is of no use. The strangest thing I saw last week were some footprints going up the beach that just stopped midway. As I was the first one on the beach that morning (and the tide was going out), it was a strange moment. By the time I came back, those footprints had been joined by a few others, of which I could see the owners.
    Have a lovely week. xx

Hi dear Hugh! Yes, I quite agree, and that is so true, isn’t it? We just don’t know when they will pop up. Well isn’t that an interesting mystery!! I’m completely intrigued! I’m wondering if someone had a little visit and then decided, right, that’s all for now! 😉 Thank you so much for sharing this, Hugh! As you know, I’m always appreciative! And to you as well my dear; thank you! Cher xo

I think it was the combination of Friday the 13th and a full moon! I spent most of my week in New Orleans which, I suspect, is a pretty interesting place any time!

Oh my gosh, yes, you were in New Orleans! Wowsers, and yes, you are right about that, no matter what the calendar says, it’s always ‘interesting’ no doubt! 😉 Thank you, my dear! Cher xo
