A big thank you to Norm at “Norm 2.0” for hosting his weekly feature called, “Thursday Doors.” Norm invites us to post a photo of an interesting door we happen to stumble upon.
The photo I’m posting today is that of the “United Methodist Museum of Social Justice” located in Los Angeles, California. The Methodist Church has long been a supporter of social justice for the less fortunate. I didn’t have the opportunity to have a peek inside, but next time I’m in Los Angeles I plan to do just that.
These doors take on an entirely different meaning to me when I think about the work these wonderful people do to assist those that truly need it the most.
I’d say these doors lead to empathy and compassion. Special doors indeed.
Great post, lovely doors, wow! 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you, John! And the detail that used to be incorporated into doors is quite fascinating! Cher xo

Yeah, today things have become somewhat sterile in designs. Modern design can be rather boring if not done right. my kitchen cabinets are to be replaced this month, a bit more modern design over the 1996 originals!

I’ll upload some photos when they are complete. It’s the construction mess that makes me nutty Cher. Dust and grunge in MY home! Grrrr

I know it must be very frustrating, John.

I’d say something polite and encouraging but only Holy cow! plays in my brain. 😀 What a door specimen, and with the beautiful soul too! Great stuff!

Quite the color combination and such lovely details. But what’s inside is always the most important. In this case, it sounds like it matches the door. 🙂

Perhaps this summer we’ll have to meet in the city and do some photography and tea/coffee drinking. 🙂

The door is gorgeous and what an original choice of colour especially for a church. The stained glass above it is incredible too. Nice find Cher 🙂
