More Macy’s Magical Moments To Share!

Last week I posted a picture (from the floor!) of the Macy’s presents in the sky:  Macy’s:  It’s Already Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

With my head tilted skyward, I was almost dizzy getting the picture!  I headed back to Macy’s to show you what it looks like from above!  If you should find yourself in Chicago during the holidays, you will definitely want to stop by the Macy’s store on State Street and have a look at the magnificent decorations for the holidays.  I’m going to take some pics of their fantastic holiday window displays, along with the gigantic Christmas tree that is centre stage in the iconic restaurant, “The Walnut Room”.  Please stay tuned!

I wonder what is inside those presents……………………

I ran the Processing Dept. for our local Macy’s for 10 years. We were usually on the schedule of the travel-decorating team to have our decorations and trees ready for them to work on by Labor Day weekend. Everything is pretty rushed and crazy by then!!

It sure could be. Especially when they would hire temps and they didn’t speak English. I used a dictionary and a whole lot of hand signals!!

I stick to my childhood resolve…it ain’t time to break out the Christmas anything until Santa appears at the end of the Macy’s day parade. So there! lol
