Upcoming Post: Meet Chris Murphy from Canada’s, “The Weather Network”!

Talk about a privilege and an honor! In the next week or so, I will be interviewing Chris Murphy, Weather Presenter from Canada’s national weather television station, “The Weather Network” (TWN).  You can find Chris weekday mornings not only providing Canada with the latest weather forecast, but doing it with a slice of humoUr (spelled with the “Canadian U”) along the way!

I’m extremely grateful to Chris for allowing me to share with you a bit about him, his career, and of course, the weather!! We Canadians love to talk about weather!! For those of you that are from Canada, this will come as no earth shattering shock.  For others, perhaps you didn’t know that those of us from the Great White North enjoy our past-time of, ‘weather-talk’!

So here is where you can become part of my interview with Chris! Do you have a weather-related question that you’ve longed to ask?  Let it no longer remain in the clouds!  Chris has graciously agreed to answer some of your questions!  Now, you don’t need to be living in Canada to ask your questions.  Please feel free to leave a comment on this post, or email me at:  thechicagofiles@gmail.com .

My nephew does so.e storm chasing, so my question is whether Chris has ever done any storm chasing and what’s the most “exciting” weather event that he was involved with.

    Hi, this is very exciting!
As a Brit, I also have an obsession with the weather so I’m right with you Canadians on this one 😊
My question to Chris, from the UK, is this:

What is the best weather related joke you know?

Many thanks, and really look forward to reading the interview, Cher!

I’ve always wondered why NASA or someone hasn’t come up with a way to lasso the rain clouds and drag them over to the drought areas or where firemen can’t get a handle on forest fires. You’d think that if they could fly to the moon, this would be doable. Maybe Chris can shed some light (or rain) on this. 😉

Dunno if it comes from living most of my life in WINTERpeg, ManiSNOWba, but I LOVE WINTER and SNOW. I know I’m an oddball and constantly reminded of the fact on Facebook. My question for Chris is What is his favourite season and/or weather. 🙂

What temperature (as close to it as possible) can a soap bubble freeze outside? As an Olaf fan, I’m sure he’s curious as well. 🙂

What is the difference between a hurricane and a tornado. Thankfully I’ve never had to experience either.
If one is in the path of either, what is the safest place to be (in a bathtub, or in a doorway, for example)?

What is it about barometric pressure that affects our health.
It seems that whenever the temperature changes, my husband and I seem to have the same aches and pains in our bones. 😦

Hhhhmmm, very interesting. There is definitely something to it. So basically your bones are barometric pressure meters? 😉 *grin*

Why is it that, now that we had new windows installed, I no longer see the beautiful frosty artistry from God on my windows when it is freezing outside?
I think I probably know the answer, but thought I’d get a guru (Chris) answer here. 😉
